I Would Trust You

I have few words for the public these days. There are to many things to sort out in the raw with safe people and my Jesus. Still, there’s this simple song that I was given this summer. Here are the words.

I would trust You in the morning
When the first rays of light
Touch a sleeping earth with Your grace.
I would trust You're beside me
To love and to guide me
Through the choices and conflicts I'll face.

I would trust You in the mid-day
When the sun's burning heat
Steals my passion for Your field.
I would trust Your abiding,
Your constant providing
Of raindrops and workers and yields.

I would trust You to be God
I would trust and be still.
Teach me trust, Lord,
And all will be well.

I would trust You in the ev'ning
When the last warming beams
Wash the weary world in full glow.
I would trust You're enduring
By mercy ensuring
That at day's end I'll come safe home.

I would trust You to be God,
I would trust and be still,
Teach me trust, Lord,
Morning and ev'ning and all day long
I would trust You.

I would trust You to be God
Trust and be still
Teach me trust, Lord,
And all will be well.

  1. Blessings to you Yolanda as you do the not so fun job of sorting… Always worth it in the end, painful while processing though 💕 And thank-you for sharing your words here again!

  2. Just curious, are there recordings available of any of your songs? They are beautiful and I really like the words! Especially this one

    • This one is currently mid-composing. It will be choral piece that hopefully will be performed and recorded some day. At this point I don’t have any recordings that I can legally share. A few are in the works. Thank you for your interest! It’s so encouraging. 🙂
