Unspeakable God

Universe designer, creator, sustainer,

Never could believe He’d die for me,

Shepherd for all men, Lord of the heavens,

Protector form evil is He,

Exceeds all description, Giver of Salvation,

Always live through me,

King of all kingdoms, come to give us freedom,

Almighty God is He,

Before there was time or reason or rhyme, He

Laid out all history,

Eternal God, the Great I Am, Holy Spirit,

Let’s bow and worship Him,

He exceeds all description,

I’m not sure why I try,

To say the unspeakable,

His glory’s just too high.

Oh, He is God, but who am I?
